🚨Trust me: Fabrizio Romano drops Rodrygo promise in morning Liverpool transfer update

The recent reports have connected Liverpool with a potential transfer for Real Madrid star Rodrygo. Interestingly, there are also rumors suggesting Darwin Núñez might leave Anfield.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed these speculations, stating, “It’s hard for me to comment on the Rodrygo and Núñez rumors.

I don’t know where these links originate. Núñez is entirely focused on Liverpool, and Atlético Madrid recently invested €75 million in Julián Alvarez. Rodrygo renewed his contract with Real Madrid less than a year ago and is committed to the club.”

Rodrygo has had a relatively quiet start to the season, contributing five goals in ten games, while Núñez has played even less, with just 246 minutes on the pitch.

Notwithstanding this, reports from Graeme Bailey at TBR Football suggest Liverpool’s interest in Rodrygo remains strong, even after a summer inquiry was rejected. Nevertheless, Rodrygo seems dedicated to his future in Spain.

As for replacing Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires in 2025, Liverpool may look to Rodrygo as a long-term option. While he’s not yet matching Salah’s impressive stats, he ranks highly in xG and xAG metrics.

However, it seems unlikely that Rodrygo will leave Real Madrid for Liverpool anytime soon.
