Furious Liverpool fans claim there is an ‘agenda’ against the club after latest Premier League announcement

Liverpool will play Ipswich in their first match of the Premier League season on August 17. Liverpool supporters have expressed their frustration with the Premier League following an announcement made just days before the new season begins.

The Reds have had a strong pre-season under their new head coach Arne Slot, securing victories over Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United during their tour of the United States

Their next opponent is Sevilla, whom they will face at Anfield on Sunday in their final pre-season match before starting the new Premier League season against promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The schedule for Liverpool’s televised matches in the early part of the season has been released, with several games rescheduled to fit broadcaster requests.

The match against last season’s Premier League runners-up, Arsenal, which will be broadcast on Sky Sports, has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 27, with a 4:30 PM kickoff.

Their home game against Chelsea will now commence at 5:30 PM on Saturday, October 19, and will also be shown live on Sky Sports.

In addition, Liverpool’s match against Crystal Palace has been moved to an earlier slot on Saturday, October 5, at 12:30 PM, with TNT Sports covering the game.

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp expressed dissatisfaction with the frequency of lunchtime kick-offs his team faced during his tenure. Liverpool had more 12:30 pm Saturday games than any other Premier League team under Klopp, and this trend is expected to persist in the Slot era.

Liverpool fans quickly voiced their frustration with the recent fixture changes, with some even claiming a supposed “agenda” against the club. One fan wrote on X, “They’ve started the agenda again,” while another sarcastically remarked, “Wow, who would’ve thought? It’s not like it’s been like this for the past 2 seasons…” A third fan commented, “And it begins. TV loves us so we always get the Saturday 12:30 slot for the ratings.” Another added, “Ahhhh another early kick-off for us hahaha some things never change.”
