On Sunday, August 25, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti praised young Brazilian talent Endrick after his impressive performance in the team’s 3-0 win over Real Valladolid.
This victory marked Real Madrid’s first three points of the 2024-25 season and was celebrated by the enthusiastic crowd at Santiago Bernabeu.
Endrick, who joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras in 2022 at the age of 16, only became part of the squad this summer. Despite being just 18, he had already made a name for himself by representing Brazil in the 2024 Copa America.
In the match against Real Valladolid, Ancelotti brought Endrick on in the 86th minute, and the teenager made an immediate impact by scoring just 10 minutes later.
Ancelotti praised Endrick’s performance, noting his significant potential and skill. The coach remarked, “Endrick looks very good; he has very big potential. He showed that with his goal,” as reported by Madrid Xtra.
Endrick’s debut goal was a display of his composure and skill. In the 96th minute, with Real Valladolid’s defense tiring, he received a pass from Brahim Diaz and scored with a precise right-footed shot past goalkeeper Karl Hein, sparking celebration.
Endrick’s arrival had been somewhat overshadowed by the high-profile signing of Kylian Mbappe, but Mbappe’s departure allowed Endrick to shine.
The 3-0 victory also demonstrated Real Madrid’s squad depth, as they won without key midfielder Jude Bellingham, who was sidelined with a foot injury. After a scoreless first half, Federico Valverde opened the scoring with a long-range shot in the 50th minute, followed by Brahim Diaz’s first goal of the season in the 88th minute. Endrick’s goal capped a strong performance by Real Madrid.
The team will now focus on their away match against Las Palmas on August 29, looking to continue their successful start to the La Liga season.
