Ancelotti Discovers the perfect replacement for Toni Kroos at Real Madrid: He cost the club only 20 million euros

The Real Madrid coach is preparing for a demanding and lengthy season that will span nearly 11 months, necessitating full participation from all players. Carlo Ancelotti is refining his strategy for the 2024-25 season, with a key focus on replacing Toni Kroos. Initially, Real Madrid’s management plans to explore the transfer market for this replacement. However, Ancelotti has found a promising candidate within his current squad.

Arda Güler, who was signed last summer for 20 million euros, has emerged as a viable replacement for Kroos. This Turkish player has proven to be a well-rounded midfielder, potentially filling Kroos’ role effectively.

Nevertheless, Güler will need support as he adapts to his new position. Fede Valverde will continue his crucial role in balancing the team’s play, both offensively and defensively, allowing Güler more freedom to adjust and thrive in various midfield roles.

Toni Kroos’s absence has left a void in terms of creativity in the midfield which made Carlo Ancelotti reevaluate the positions of some players. It is interesting to state that among all the Prime Minister’s advisors, only Arda Güler was considered competent enough to perform this shift.

Güler has recently risen in popularity again due to a strong comeback in the final stretch of season 2023/24, followed by a good European Championship playing for the Turkish national team, as well as positive performance during the pre-season tour in the United States. Both Ancelotti and his staff will be waiting for Güler to do well in the playmaker position.
