These schedules might be adjusted depending on Liverpool’s European fixtures, with the Champions League group stage draw occurring on August 31.
If Liverpool plays in Europe on Wednesday, October 2, their match against Crystal Palace will likely be rescheduled to the Saturday evening slot due to a Premier League rule that prevents a team from having the early Saturday kick-off after a Wednesday European game.
Jurgen Klopp had previously expressed frustration with fixture scheduling around European games, but thanks to a rule change he advocated for, Arne Slot will avoid similar issues.
The Liverpool vs. Chelsea match could also be rescheduled. The game follows an international break and, with Champions League fixtures scheduled for the following midweek, it might be moved to Sunday if necessary to accommodate other European teams, potentially swapping with Liverpool’s game.
