Reports emerged on Monday afternoon revealing that Liverpool rejected a transfer deal for defender Sepp van den Berg from PSV Eindhoven. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “PSV Eindhoven made a formal bid of approximately €10 million for Sepp van den Berg to Liverpool at the end of last week,” which Liverpool immediately turned down.
The club is reportedly holding out for a €20 million transfer fee before considering the sale of the 22-year-old. In June, Van den Berg expressed frustration, indicating that Liverpool was hindering his career progression. “I had a good conversation with the management,” he said. “I received positive feedback, but I understood that surpassing players like Konate, Matip, or Van Dijk would be challenging.
