Although Joe Gomez is capable of playing as a left-back, Liverpool is interested in acquiring a true left-footer who excels in both defense and attack. Ait-Nouri, who had a strong season with 33 Premier League appearances under Wolves’ manager Gary O’Neil, appears to meet these requirements.
With Liverpool having missed out on acquiring a midfielder such as Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, they have redirected their efforts toward strengthening their defense. Enhancing the left-back position is now a key priority, placing Ait-Nouri at the forefront of their targets.
