According to the Spanish newspaper “AS,” recent changes in Bayern Munich’s strategy concerning Davies have raised concerns within Real Madrid, leading the club to consider making a swift decision. Bayern Munich had planned for Davies to stay until his contract expires in June 2025 and had offered him a renewal with a salary of 14 million euros per year, but Davies turned down these proposals.
As a result, Bayern Munich has decided to put Davies up for sale during the current summer transfer window rather than risk losing him for free when his contract expires. The initial asking price for the player is set at 50 million euros.
These developments have disrupted Real Madrid’s plans, which had envisioned acquiring Davies in a similar manner to the Mbappe deal—completing his contract with Bayern Munich and providing him with a signing bonus. Now, Real Madrid’s executives face a pressing decision, as they hadn’t budgeted for additional spending on new signings but may risk missing out on a player they have long coveted.
